Vanessa loves working with people to make positive change and she is passionate about the potential of public places to enrich our social and cultural life as well as our economies and the environment.

With extensive experience in architecture, the arts and urban development, Vanessa has worked in leadership roles in placemaking agencies and consultancies for 20 years, as well as in her own practice. She is a skilled strategist and creative facilitator, and a recognised public art advocate and producer.

Vanessa brings a curious, collaborative mindset to placemaking projects along with a valuable blend of expertise in strategic planning and design, communications and engagement, cultural development and creative management.

In addition to her advisory and consulting work, Vanessa is an active contributor to placemaking discussions, juries, education and community projects in her hometown of Melbourne.
